Life-Changing Experience
I learned about Bridging Cultures with Music while it was still a dream. Witnessing life being breathed into that dream was inspiring in the extreme.
My Experiences
Teaching violin to students in the English as Second Language program has been a priceless experience in my teaching career so far. It provided me with a chance to see how much of an impact I can make in my students’ lives
Building Bridges
How can I put into words everything that Bridging Cultures with Music did for me and the students I taught? I believe that music goes way beyond words. It speaks to all of us on spiritual and emotional levels. Over 50 years ago, Dr. Shininchi Suzuki believed that anyone could learn to play a stringed instrument.
Bridging Cultures With Music
We are delighted and excited to report that Bridging Cultures Through Music was a big success this past spring semester. Five teachers and three volunteers taught the violin to English as a Second Language (ESL) students in Bowling Green High School every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon
Sisterhood Presentation
One of the many things I have been blessed with is the ability to use music to help connect and bring people together. Bowling Green has a large refugee and immigrant population.
